Does my SIM need activating?

No. Every SPSLink radio ships with its SPSLink SIM already installed and the plan you ordered already attached to it. Service starts automatically the first time the radio registers on the network, and your plan year runs from that date.

What you do not need to do

• You do not need to call us or email us to activate
• You do not need to enter a code or a PIN on the radio
• You do not need to open the radio or touch the SIM

What happens on the first power-on

The radio searches for the network, registers and downloads its group settings. In a new location this can take a minute or two. When the screen shows your group name, service is live. See Turning on your radio for the first time.

Can I use my own SIM?

No. SPSLink radios work only with the SPSLink SIM and plan that come with them. Swapping in a SIM from another carrier will not give you push to talk service.

When does the plan renew?

Plans run for one year from the day the radio first registers. We will contact you before the year ends with renewal options. See the Plans & billing section for how the plans differ.
